Hi Xu,

Thank you for the confirmation on sample.

We have looked in to the problem logged earlier as CELLSJAVA-41337, and we are able to identify the problem cause for the huge size of generated child HTML files. Please note, in your provided sample, the Worksheets named as “KMS后台管理_越秀主页基本设置”, “知识文档库”, “专家网络库” and “filenet” have cell shading applied to whole worksheet, as a result Aspose.Cells APIs tend to export all the cells (max row & column limit) instead of exporting only the cells with data. If you remove the cell shading from the empty cells from aforementioned worksheets, the resultant HTML file(s) would be smaller in size.

Moreover, if you compare the results generated with Aspose.Cells APIs against the result of Excel, you will notice that Excel application generates quite large HTML files for such worksheets, however, size is small as compared to Aspose.Cells’ generated HTML. Reason being, Excel application merges many cells with no data and exports them as one cell. Unfortunately, Aspose.Cells APIs cannot opt this approach (i.e. merge the cells without data) for compatibility reasons in different browsers. Based on the discussion as above, you have to remove the cell shading (background color) from the unused cells to reduce the size of generated HTML.
