Huge file size when saving pdf as xps

we are converting Pdf documents to Xps and and use them as preview in our application.
Now we have the problem that pdf documents with images (mostly from scanners) result in huge xps files.

A 2MB pdf file results in a 30MB xps file for example.

Our code looks like:

var document = new Document(sourceStream);
destinationStream = new MemoryStream();
document.Save(destinationStream, new XpsSaveOptions());

Is there a way to reduce the size of the output files? Image resolution?

Thanks for using our products.

Can you please share the source PDF file so that we can test the scenario at our end. We are sorry for this inconvenience.

I’ve added a simple scanned Document with 2.5 MB.
The resulting Xps is 20MB (Aspose.Pdf
