IF MergeField clarification

Hi Team,
We are using Java service to modify/edit document. We are using MergeField in the document.Some of them have IF condition.What is the problem is, after document saved, when entering into the Print preview mode (Note: Track Changes is turned ON under Review Menu), IF merge field is showing as changed and strike mark is appear there. Is there any suggestion that this scenario to resolve without turning OFF the Track Changes.
