Hi Victor,
I have had a detailed discussion with our product team and we have made it sure that the issue is not related to Aspose.Slides API and cannot be considered as bug. Also, in our previous reply here, we have shared with you that PowerPoint doesn’t show real number of words in presentation. So ,one cannot equate the result with that. I hope the shared information will be helpful in understanding the concept.
Many Thanks,
Mudassir,
I am sorry to hear that. However as an aspose customer, I don’t agree with your statement.
Actually word count is a very basic requirement. And we are happy to see that Adnan’s codes worked pretty well for word count of English PPT slides. The result is almost the same as MS-Office. What does that mean? That means you aspose can do it.
Now it is only inaccurate when applied to Chinese PPT slides. We sinerely hope you help us to deal with this anyway.
Regards,
Victor
Hi Victor,
I have a detailed discussion with our product team for your questions. I will try to address them in parts for more clarity.

The code snippets that have been shared with you have been generated during investigation. The code snippets were NOT a goal of investigation. The Code snippets are concomitant artifacts but it have been shared only as useful illustration for the your convenience. The code snippets does not calculate the actual numbers of words, and trying to replicate the PowerPoint logic.
victor.wangkai:

Yes, almost the same in English presentations but not equal as MS-Office. It is only approximately equal.
victor.wangkai:
What does that mean?
That means you aspose can do it.
Yes, we can create algorithm that is approximately equal (to the PowerPoint logic). However, we don’t know whether we may create an algorithm that generates the output that is accurately equal to that of PowerPoint. It requires more reverse engineering and may take a considerable amount of time.
Moreover, If you want to request for a New Feature then are you interested in an algorithm which output is approximately or accurately equal algorithm? If it is an approximately equal algorithm then
we see no benefits of this new feature. If you wish to have an algorithm that can accurately calculate the word count then this is big work and in present road map it will not be possible for us to accommodate it and it may postponed due to its priority.
I hope the shared information will be helpful.
We are sorry for your inconvenience,
Mudassir,
Thanks. Understood.
What we want is a solution of PPT word count, not a research program. If it is approximately accurate, I think it will be acceptable. Would you please?
In terms of long run, we appreciate it if you consider it in yoru roadmap and give us a timeline about when the exactly accurate word count will be available.
Thanks!
Victor
