Incorrect Chart When Loading and Saving a PPTX File in Java

I hope this message finds you well. We have encountered a critical bug in the Aspose.Slides for Java library, specifically related to incorrect chart display after export. Below are the details of the issue, along with the necessary information for your review:

Reproduction Steps:

  1. Example presentation with an affected chart:
    import.pptx.zip (52.5 KB)

  2. Code triggering the bug:

public void chartBugReproduction13() throws Exception {
	String importPath = "/path/to/import.pptx";
	String exportPath = "/path/to/export.pptx";

	try (var is = new FileInputStream(new File(importPath))) {
		var pres = new Presentation(is);

		// save imported presentation
		try (var fos = new FileOutputStream(exportPath)) {
			pres.save(fos, SaveFormat.Pptx);
		}
	}
}

Issue Description:

  • Expected Chart Appearance:
    image.png (26.5 KB)

  • Aspose Exported Chart Appearance:
    image.png (23.0 KB)

Observations:

  • The Chart seems to fix itself in Powerpoint when right clicking the chart and selecting “Edit Data in Excel” but breaks itself again when importing and exporting after that

Environment:

  • Aspose.Slides version: 26.5
  • Java version: 25.0.1
  • Operating Systems: Ubuntu 24
