I just downloaded 6.2 version and wanted to install it. I got an error that reads: The feature that you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. This looks like an MSI error and it looks like it is happening because new installer is trying to remove the old version but my old installer MSI is long gone. I can no longer download 4.1 from your web site so what should I do here. Any way to un-install without the original MSI?
Hello!
Thank you for your inquiry.
Aspose.Words installation package normally removes previous version if you have one installed. If this fails then you can try to remove it manually from Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs. To do this you don’t need the original MSI that was used for installation.
Please let us know whether this helps.
Regards,
No, that does not work either. I get the same error when trying to do it from Control Panel. Maybe you could put up zip and MSI version so I can just use that and unzip it myself?
Thanks.
I had this problem once on my machine too. I used Microsoft Installer Cleanup from here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301 to delete Aspose.Words from the installer registry and then the new version installed successfully. Seems to be a very rare problem.
