"invalid PFX version" when trying to extract the signature cettificate from PDF

Hi
we’re trying to extract signatures from a PDF file using PdfFileSignature.extractCertificate in the Aspose PDF Java 22.3 library. Usually it works quite nicely, but there’s one test system which thows an exception like this:

com.aspose.pdf.internal.ms.System.lh: invalid PFX version
com.aspose.pdf.internal.l164u.lv.lj(Unknown Source)
com.aspose.pdf.internal.l164u.lv.(Unknown Source)
com.aspose.pdf.internal.l157y.ly.lf(Unknown Source)
com.aspose.pdf.internal.l157y.ly.lI(Unknown Source)
com.aspose.pdf.internal.l157y.ly.lI(Unknown Source)
com.aspose.pdf.internal.l157y.l0if.lI(Unknown Source)
com.aspose.pdf.SignatureField.lI(Unknown Source)
com.aspose.pdf.SignatureField.l1l(Unknown Source)
com.aspose.pdf.SignatureField.extractCertificate(Unknown Source)
com.aspose.pdf.facades.PdfFileSignature.lf(Unknown Source)
com.aspose.pdf.facades.PdfFileSignature.extractCertificate(Unknown Source)

We tried tests with different signtature certificates, Linux and Windows hosted systems, but had no success with reproducing the issue on one of our more debuggable machines.

I know the description is rather vague, but do you have any recommendation on where to check what? Any advise would be appreciated.

Kind regards
David

Please try the latest version of Aspose.PDF for Java 22.4 and let us know how it goes on your side.

If you still face problem, please create a simple Java application (source code without compilation errors) that helps us to reproduce your problem on our end and attach it here for testing. We will investigate the issue and provide you more information on it.
