Issue saving pptx and open it in PowerPoint &lt;= 2007

Hi,

if I open the attached file “test.pptx” and save it back using my Visual Studio project “Aspose-Test-Tool” the saved file “test_pptx_Aspose/test.pptx_save.pptx” couldn´t opened in Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 and older. It appears the attached error message (error.png), that the powerpoint file contains unreadable content.
I think the issue is a combination of office properties in the pptx-file. If the source file contains an office properties, the old PowerPoint versions can´t open the file after open and save using Aspose.Slides.

Can you help us?

Thank you for sharing the sample application.

I have checked your issue with the latest version of Aspose.Slides for .NET v8.4.0 and I am unable to reproduce your mentioned issue. I opened the generated file with both MS PowerPoint 2007 and 2013 without any issue. I also opened your resultant file which was present in the attached folder and it is opening fine as well. It seems the issue might be related to different language settings. Could you please provide us the details of your environment and specially the language pack you are using. It will help us in reproducing the issue at our end.

I´m using MS PowerPoint 2007 (12.0.4518.1014) MSO (12.0.4518.1014) in German.
The Host is a Windows 7 Enterprise Service Pack 1 in German.

I tested your issue by setting up Windows 7, MS PowerPoint 2010 (German versions), MS PowerPoint 2007 (English) and used the latest version of Aspose.Slides for .NET v14.4.0 to generate the issue. However, I am still unable to reproduce your mentioned issue. Following is the sample code and attached is the screenshot of the generated file. Also, following is the sample code I used and attached is the generated file. Please download and try the latest version at your end and let us know if you still face the issue.

I have tested the scenario again using the latest Aspose.Slides-dll and it seems to be good.
