We have a Thai customer using Windows Server 2008 R2, and on that server we are receiving errors when attempting a transformation to PowerPoint with the following message:

“The subscription included in this license allows free upgrades until 17 May 1468, but this version of the product was released on 12 Aug 2010. Please renew the subscription or use a previous version of the product.”

We understand this is due to the Thai calendar being 543 years ahead of the Christian calendar, but according to the thread, , this issue was supposed to have been fixed in 2008. By going through Properties > Details on our Aspose.Slides.dll I see File version: 4.3.0.0 and the Product version: 2010.08.12

We are using .NET and only transformations to PowerPoint are having this issue. Can you suggest a way to resolve this issue?

Please accept my apology for late response. I have checked the license at Windows Server 2008 R2 and it is working fine. Can you please share what kind of transformation to PowerPoint your are doing? Please share your presentation file with a sample code for investigation purpose.

Hi Tahir,

We can do the transformation on other servers, or by using the same code-base on a non-server OS. Using Windows 7, if we go through Control Panel > Change keyboards or other input methods, select the Formats tab and then change the format to Thai, when we run the publishing routines we can generate the same error message, but it will go away if we revert back to English. We know this was a previous issue with unusual calendars and addressed in the past, but we can still replicate it. Is there a workaround we could use?

In further testing with a newer version of Aspose, we were still able to reproduce the problem.

"The subscription included in this license allows free upgrades until 17 May 1468, but this version of the product was released on 04 Apr 2011. Please renew the subscription or use a previous version of the product."

For the code sample, we have

License lic = new License();
lic.SetLicense(Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly().GetManifestResourceStream((“RWD.uPerform.Transformation.Common.Aspose.Total.lic”)));

Where “License” is of the type “Aspose.Slides.License”. The failure is on the SetLicense method, which is identical to when we are using SetLicense on an instance of “Aspose.Pdf.License”.

Every other format we have tried works correctly with the Thai calendar, and we have multiple machines able to reproduce this error. Is there anything else we can provide that will assist in finding a solution?
