Java Web Start: java.security.AccessControlException

Hi,

We have an AccessControlException thrown invoking "new Workbook()" in our Java Web Start environment. Here's the stack trace:

Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.util.PropertyPermission file.encoding read)

at java.security.AccessControlContext.checkPermission(Unknown Source)

at java.security.AccessController.checkPermission(Unknown Source)

at java.lang.SecurityManager.checkPermission(Unknown Source)

at java.lang.SecurityManager.checkPropertyAccess(Unknown Source)

at java.lang.System.getProperty(Unknown Source)

at com.aspose.cells.Workbook.(Unknown Source)

Any idea?

Hi,

Thank you for your reply but I forgot to specify that we already have some licenses for an older version of Aspose.Cells. In consequence this last version is not supported.

Well, I am afraid you have to upgrade your subscription (if your subscription is expired) and try the latest version/fix to figure out your issue. After trying the latest fix, if you still find any issue, we are bound to resolve it for your need.

The issues you have found earlier (filed as 10666) have been fixed in this update.
