We have enterprise licence for Aspose.Words for .Net 7.0. Just wondering to be able to upgrade to Aspose.Words for .Net 9.4 do we need to get new licence or can we use the same licence that we have for Aspose.Words for .Net 7.0.

Every Aspose licence is valid for 1 year. During that 1-year period a customer can freely upgrade to new releases published on Aspose website. I would recommend you to check the expiration date of your licence. To do that please open your licence file using notepad and find a line starting with tag .
For example, the following line
20101212
would say you are able to get new version released before 12/12/2010.
In case your expiration date does not allow you to upgrade to desired version please contact our sales team to renew your licence:
