I want to download the most recent Cells 4.x build because my version appears to have a bug in it about chart data labels. Before asking you to investigate, I want to get the latest version which appears to be 4.9.1, but on the download page, the link to download doesn’t work, it just reloads to the first page again. Can you help?

I am sorry but it’s against our company policy to provide the version of the product which is older than one year. So, we cannot provide you the related older version/version link. I think you should try the latest version (v6.0.1) as per your requirement.

So I fetched the latest dll and because of the changes to the chart namespace as well as the Cell.Style property, my code now has several hundred compile errors. So now I’m faced with updating all references in my project and website to your new namespace organization because I stepped on an old bug. Can you please just provide me the latest version - if needed, I will look through your changelogs to see where you fixed it, but I can’t the fore/back color on individual data labels on a chart:
series.Points[j + 1].Area.ForegroundColor = Color.Green;
series.Points[j + 1].DataLabels.TextFont.Color = Color.White;
has no effect.
Our license for aspose.total was several thousand dollars so I’ll find it very disappointing if we aren’t entitled to the most recently build 4.x version.

While trying to keep the API as straightforward and clear as possible, we decided to recognize and honor the common development practices of the platform. Therefore, Aspose.Cells for .NET follows coding guidelines widely accepted by .NET developers. With the release of Aspose.Cells for .NET version v5.0.0, we have re-organized the API classes for Aspose.Cells component. This change has some major aspects that we follow. We have added new namespaces. All the API (classes, interfaces, enumerations, structures etc.) were previously located in the Aspose.Cells namespace. Now, certain sets of API have been moved to their relative namespaces, which make the relationship of classes (with their members) and namespaces clear and simplified.
And regarding using latest versions with their APIs, for your complete reference, I think firstly you should check the release notes for different official versions of Aspose.Cells for .NET (especially v5.0.0 and 5.1.0 etc.).

Let me come towards your significant errors that you may encounter, so you can fix them accordingly:
1) You need to import the relevant namesapaces to your demo pages or use fully qualified naming when declaring objects for classes etc.:
e.g
using System;
using System.Web;
using Aspose.Cells;
using Aspose.Cells.Pivot;
etc.
2) As I said above, some classes are renamed. e.g
i) Validations --> ValidationCollection
ii) PivotTable --> PivotTableCollection
etc.
3) Aspose.Cells.Style property is eliminated/obsoleted now, you should adjust your code to use Aspose.Cells.GetStyle() and Aspose.Cells.SetStyle() methods, it will also enhance the performance to certain extent:
e.g
Your sample code using Style attribute should be updated accordingly, e.g
Style style = wsNdaa.Cells[0, 0].GetStyle();
style.Font.IsBold = true;
wsNdaa.Cells[0, 0].SetStyle(style);
Styyle style2 = cells[“I1”].GetStyle();
style2.HorizontalAlignment = TextAlignmentType.Center;

Putting aside the thousands of lines of code I’ve written based on the v4 namespace, will my existing v4 license cover using v6? I’m not going to pay for a new version and invest the time to update all my code to get fixes that were likely fixed in v4.9
I don’t understand why you can’t supply me with the latest version that I’ve paid for. This policy of your is ridiculous and makes me hesitate buying anything else from your company ever again.
