Hey Andrey,

thanks, I understood that. The problem is that the scaling is terrible for PDF. A 5 MB pdf requires 1GB of memory.

I have also looked at your solution with the PDF.Kit and run into other scalability issues with Aspose.Words, issues that block the workaround suggested ( updateFields failing prevents having the TOC in the generated PDF).

I have created a separate post for that issue here: OutOfMemory with updateFields and other operations but bottom line is that we are still stuck with saving to PDF and now we have one more problem for the Word output.
