Mail merge field adding extra "/" when merged value is http://

We are using mail merge fields to dynamically merge values into a document.
This works fine except in one case: When the merged value is http://some.url.com

for some reason, aspose seems to be adding an extra “/”, causing it to be :

http:///some.url.com. If there are any characters in FRONT of the url, then this doesnt happen. Any idea/solution?

Thank you for additional information. I just rechecked the issue with the latest version of Aspose.Words and it seems it is not reproducible anymore. Could you please try with the latest version and confirm that the issue does not occur. You can download the latest version from here:
