Major problem in new version Aspose Slides for Jave 15.3.0 introduced

Hello,

We were glad that a major problem was solved (see <a href="). As of version 15.3.0, our splitter generates a NULL pointer exception. With version 15.2.0, this major problem did not occur. Correction: 15.2.0 and earlier generated thumbnails/images with size of 0 bytes. Version 14.10.0 and earlier generated correct thumbnails/images.

I’ve added the (debug version) source of our splitter as a attachment and the presentation that was used in the test.

This is the stack trace:

Hi Michelle,

I have observed your requirements and worked with the presentation file shared by you.
I have been able to reproduce the issue. A regression ticket with ID SLIDESJAVA-34829 has been logged in our issue tracking system to further investigate and resolve the issue. This thread has been linked with the issue so that you may be automatically notified once the issue will be resolved.

We are sorry for your inconvenience,

Hello,

It has not been reported that issue SLIDESJAVA-34829 has been fixed. In the release notes of Java Slides 15.4, this issue also is not mentioned as fixed, but in the left column, we can see that this problem should be fixed, so we’re little bit confused here.

Because of another problem our client stumbled upon, we’ve tested the latest version of Java Slides (version 15.4) and we are glad to see that in this release, the new problem is solved (something with embeded Excel sheets). Therefor we’ve tested
issue SLIDESJAVA-34829 again and see that this problem has been solved as well.

So it had been handy if it was reported that this problem has been fixed. Than we would have rolled out release 15.4 earlyer, but hey, we’re glad that it’s solved.

Many thanks for solving this problem. We now can upgrade to 15.4 (from 14.9).

Keep up the good work!

Kind regards,
Michelle

Hi Sendrata,

I like to share that the concerned ticket has been marked as resolved in upcoming version of Aspose.Slides for Java 15.5.0. Since the issue is resolved, therefore you are able to see this as fixed but fix will be included in Aspose.Slides for Java 15.5.0.

Many Thanks,

The issues you have found earlier (filed as SLIDESJAVA-34829) have been fixed in this update.
