Max length of bookmark id?

Hi there,

I have the problem, that if I output my document as HTML, the bookmark IDs printed in the anchor tag id attribute are truncate to a length of 40 chars.

Is there any reason for this behavior?

I really love the bookmark feature, but now I get clashes for longer ids.

It is by MS Word design that Bookmark name length is limited to 40 characters. In your case, Bookmark names are truncated because MS Word has 40 Chars limit for Bookmark names. Hope, this helps.
