Hello, thank you.
Hello,
So sorry for the inconvenience, just checking if the issue with Pst,Ost,Olm storages is also confirmed?
I was worried if there were extra trial license checks inside storage readers causing this, but my temporary license also behaved the same.
Thanks
Hello,
The issue you are experiencing with PST, OST, and OLM storage files is not related to any extra trial license checks inside the storage readers. We have confirmed that the behavior you are encountering occurs with both trial and temporary licenses.
We are working to address it. We’ve managed to fix the performance issue for .NET Framework versions later than 4.5. Unfortunately, resolving this issue for version 4.5 and earlier requires a bit more time.
Wow. thanks thousands of times for confirming and the precious work.
I didn’t have large Tgz or Nsf files to test against the new version, if you’re aware of the internal cause of this degradation, does it apply to those storage readers too?
Thanks
The performance degradation issue you mentioned is related to message processing, so it affects all storage readers.
Thanks for the valuable info, just 24.7 released, perhaps will be fixed in the upcoming versions, right?
Yes, that’s right.
Hello, are these issues fixed yet?
The issue has been resolved, but only for Aspose.Email versions that target .NET Framework 4.5 and above. Unfortunately, the earlier .NET versions don’t support this improvement.
So it won’t get ever a fix?
And where to download the fixed new version for .Net Framework 4.5 or 4.8 as you mentioned? Because in the downloads there’s only up to .Net 4.0
Hello,
For applications using .NET Framework 4.0 or earlier the fix is not applicable due to platform limitations.
However, you can find the version compatible with .NET Framework 4.5 on NuGet.
Yes the fix is not available for .net 4.0, but my question is that it will be fixed in the future or not?
And the given link does not have anything for .net 4.5/4.8 unless you’re talking about .net standard 2.0 which has its own challenges, so no pure .net framework 4.5 or 4.8 dlls while there are .net frqmework 2.0 and 3.5? A bit odd.
It is possible that the fix will be applied for .NET Framework 4.0 in the future, but it is not expected anytime soon.
Regarding the .NET Framework 4.5 version, you can download the
.nupkg
file from NuGet, extract it using any archive tool, and you will find the assembly for .NET 4.5 in the
lib\net45
folder.
Oh I got it, thanks, it would be great to include the 4.5 dll in the product download installer and zip file, every other Aspose product that have .net 4.5 + version, is included in the installer and zip so no need to go for nuget for a single 4.5 build.
Thank you for your feedback. I will pass your suggestion to the product team for consideration.
Hello,
Just checking if there’s any plan or news for the fix for .NET Framework 4.0 build?
Thanks.
Sad, but I understand, anyway, speaking of Mbox, you recently added a valuable option to Mbox reader to search Mbox or load portions of the whole Mbox, but do you also have an option to delete some email items from Mbox? A similar function exists for Pst, if not, is that on the wishlist?
Best
Thank you,
currently, Aspose.Email doesn’t provide a built-in option to delete specific email items from an MBOX file.
We appreciate your suggestion, and I will share it with our development team for future consideration.
Thanks so much for your kind attention, surely that’s pretty useful, however, considering the nature of MboxReader which is a sequential reader, I didn’t post it, but if possible, will be a great addition
