Aspose.Cells provides the functionality for Merging / Unmerging of Cells in a worksheet and also provide the Hide / Unhide rows and columns features. Please see the following documentation link in this regard:

Also, to further update you, if your requirement is to use Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services than following are the detail regarding your requirements:

  1. For Merging issue: Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services does support the Merge functionality and merge the cells in generated excel report when two or more cells are merged.

  2. For Hiding issue: Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services normally exports data into Excel when the textbox report item’s visibility is set as hidden.

Hello

We are using reporting service 2005 and as you can see from the following screen shot we get lots of merge and hidden cells when we export the report to excel ( we only use report manager to do exports). The problem with this is that when we can use it for select and copy past tabs etc… . Can you confirm if your Aspose cell , excel export extension for reporting services could solve this problem

Thank you for considering Aspose.

We have checked your shared image file; we think that you want to reduce merge cells and hidden cells.

For Merging Issue: If you want to reduce merging cells count, you must adjust your report define file (RDL). For precise positioning of report items we need the cell merging option.

Please post your report define file (RDL) here. We will check your report define file and analyze the reason of general hidden cells.
