Merging/Copying Two Excel sheets - Spaces in the beginning of the cells are not getting retained

Hi Team,

**** This is really urgent ****
We have a valid purchased license (Order ID: 170323160208)
Version used : aspose-cells-17.4.0.jar

PROBLEM
Currently we are encountering a strange problem. The requirement is to merge two spreadsheets in a single Workbook but we are loosing the leading “spaces” (if there is any for the cells).

For example I am attaching 2 spreadsheets Other_Budget_R2-en_1.xlsx (Lets call it SS1) & PE_Budget_R2-en_1.xlsx (lets call it SS2) and copying the first sheet of SS1 into SS2. Below is the Java code snippet

try {
Workbook excelWorkbook0 = new Workbook(“C:\FAST\eclipse\workspaces\default\TestAspose\Other_Budget_R2-en_1.xlsx”);
Workbook excelWorkbook1 = new Workbook(“C:\FAST\eclipse\workspaces\default\TestAspose\PE_Budget_R2-en_1.xlsx”);

excelWorkbook1.getWorksheets().get(0).copy(excelWorkbook0.getWorksheets().get(0));
excelWorkbook1.save(“C:\FAST\eclipse\workspaces\default\TestAspose\test_it.xlsx”);
System.out.println(“new Test Done… bogus !”);

} catch (Exception e) {
e.printStackTrace();
}

For example : In the SS1
Column A
Row 10,11,13,14,15,16
has leading spaces before the data. But the output test_it.xlsx don’t have those spaces anymore.

Need a fix for this indentation issue urgently !!!

Hi,

Thanks for sharing the sample code and template files.

We managed to reproduce the issue on our end. We found it is an issue of reading string value with
leading spaces. I have logged a ticket with an id “CELLSJAVA-42281” for your issue. We will look into it soon.

Once we have an uypdate on it, we will let you know here.

Thank you.
