Microsoft Office PowerPoint cant start the application required to open this object

I have two OLE frames on two slides. I goto the first slide and double click the bitmap image to see the OLE data. I go to the next slide and double click the next bitmap image to see data. I get this error "Microsoft Office PowerPoint cant start the application required to open this object."

This only happens when I click images or ole frames from different slides. I am using Office 2003 sp3 on Windows XP.

Any help is appreciated
