Hi - I have a need to modify what items with tracked changes look like in the PDF. Essentially, I need to make it so that the text looks normal (as though there were no changes - no bolding or underlining - deletions invisible) but still have the revision bar appear to the left. Currently the revision bar does not appear at all.
Any ideas on how I can make this happen? Do I need to have the .NET version instead of the SharePoint version?
Thanks,
Ross
Hi Ross,
Thanks for your inquiry. The latest version of Aspose.Words for .NET 13.11.0 supports rendering of revision bars and this feature will be included in next version of Aspose.Words for SharePoint too.
Aspose.Words for SharePoint does not expose the whole document object module like Aspose.Words for .NET does. So, in case you just want to open a document and save it to PDF in SharePoint library and nothing else, then you should choose ‘Aspose.Words for SharePoint’. On the other hand, if you want to take advantage of the whole Aspose.Words API then I would recommend you please go for ‘Aspose.Words for.NET
’ component. And of-course, you can integrate Aspose.Words for .NET with SharePoint environment. For this, I would suggest you please go through the following blog post and video tutorial:
Using Aspose.Total for .NET with SharePoint for File Creation and Manipulation.
