Null pointer exception when opening this .pptx file.tha

Hello,
I am using the Apose.slides (JAVA) java 1.6.0_65
The code below works for many ppt files however I am consistently getting a null pointer exception for .pptx files of 1 slide in length.

I have attached 2 files, carbon-coices-lesson.pptx opens fine but pptsample.pptx throws this error.

The code is quite simple
PresentationEx thePres=new PresentationEx("/Users/userb/pptxSample.pptx") ;
