Ole Link Update workaround in Aspose 4.0

Hi,


Thanks for keeping me posted for the work around of updating OLE Link in ASPOSE.Slide. While testing this with the demo dll, I have noticed the following

1. Its not updating the OLE link in the same slide. The method like Link.Update could be very helpful. While performing the update the Excel to PPt fro MS office perspective, I do not have to bother about the size of the object. everything is defined in powerpoint, but here we need to pass those as argument.

2. Most importantly, when I open the destination powerpoint (The one in the demo), it does not display the excel ole object. If I do edit worksheet (by right click) then only it shows the worksheet. It almost like updating the link itself manually.

I don’t know if I am in right direction or not or missing something.

Hi Dibyendu,

Actually, when you use Shapes.AddOleObjectFrame method, you are actually embedding an OLE object into the slide and there are some known issues with it. For more information / options, follow URL:
