Open document support?

Hi,
we are quite interested in your product except that we need it to be able to save as open document. Do you plan to support this format and if so, when will this feature be available?

Yes, we plan to add support for ODF but no timeline was set yet. Probably somewhere within the first half of the next year.

ODF implementation is planned after DOCX, and will probably be in Q3 2007. That is a very rough estimation though.

Thank you for your interest. We do work on ODF export right now. Estimated timeframe is end of 2007.

Yes, but that will take a few more months after export is ready.

Thanks for your release that supports ODF export. Can you estimate when you will support ODF import? Are you working on it now? We have many requests for it.

Yes, we are now working on ODT import.
By the way, we managed to put “Buzzword supported” features forward in development and testing of ODT export and they are fully supported in export in the current version while we continue to add more advanced features to export. We plan to do the same in ODT import.
Estimate - we hope to release ODT import that covers all Buzzword features within 3-4 months.
