I am working with Aspose Slides 6.9.1 for Java under Ubuntu12.04. Whenever it finds an OpenType font under /usr/share/fonts It will crash when saving a presentation with the following stacktrace:

As soon as I move all OpenType fonts out of the way everything works again.
I do not need any of those fonts for the presentation to be created but they are used by my IDE…

Thanks for your interest in Aspose.Slides.

I have observed the issue shared by you and like to share that at the moment the support for Open Type fonts is unavailable in Aspose.Slides. I have created an issue with ID SLIDESJAVA-33702 in our issue tracking system to further investigate and resolve the issue. This thread has been linked with the issue so that you may be automatically notified once the issue will be resolved.

We are investigating the issue shared by you and have not been able to to observe the issue with default OpenType fonts installed in my Ubuntu. Can you please share the OpenType fonts that you have on your system and that when you remove, every thing become OK. Please share the fonts available in “/usr/share/fonts”.

I will really appreciate your cooperation in this regard.

The issues you have found earlier (filed as SLIDESJAVA-33702) have been fixed in this update.
