Password Protection in Excel 2007

Hello,

We are in the process of evaluating Aspos Cells to create and manipulate Excel content through java. We are unable to create a password protected an excel file that's created using aspos if the format of the file is Excel 2007. Password protection is for the entire workbook ie. the user should not be able to open the file without providing the valid password. It seems to work fine for an Excel 2003 file.

Yes, I 'm afraid the feature (Protecting .xlsx (Excel 2007) files) is not available yet. We have already added to our to-do list and will support it in our future versions.

Thanks for the quick response. Do you have a timeline when you will start to support this feature for 2007? Also, is there a list of such features that are not supported in 2007. Pls let me know.

Well, Pivot Table, Charts, Shapes etc. for Excel 2007 are not supported. We are working on the features, and hopefully we can support them in our future versions.
