Hi.
I understand I have to buy ASPOSE.Words and ASPOSE.pdf for Java to
export word to Java.
Unfortunatly in your ASPOSE.Words feature comparison between Java and .net
version, you mention that PDF export is only planned in the Java version.
Can you please confirm, that ASPOSE.Words and ASPOSE.pdf for Java together
provide PDF Export functionality?
Best Regards, Philipp Kutter
Hi
Thank you for your interest in Aspose.Words for java. Unfortunately Aspose.Words for java doesn’t support PDF format yet.
We are planning the complete reengineering of PDF module in .Net baseline. Only after the reengineering PDF module will be ported to Java. Hopefully this feature will be supported somewhere this year. It is the best estimate I could give.
Best regards.
Hi, Alexey.
I understand. I will thus research for a Word to PDF library which runs under Java.
Do you recommend your library in the Java version, or shall we rather go for a .net based system?
I am concerned that all your case studies are with the .net version.
Best, Philipp
Hi
Thanks for your inquiry. For conversion Word documents to PDF format you can use .NET assemblies. Please see the following link:
https://docs.aspose.com/words/net/save-a-document/
Our documentation contains code examples in C#, VB and Java.
Historically Aspose.Words for Java version appeared as a porting of Aspose.Words for .NET to Java platform. The porting is not complete yet. That’s why some of the features available in .NET version are not available in Java version (supporting RTF, WML, PDF etc). We will support all these features eventually, but later.
Best regards.
We are happy to inform you that the first auto-ported version of Aspose.Words for Java is ready. This version supports converting documents to PDF. You can get it from here.
