PDF supports ALL Font Types

Hi,

we want to create PDF files out of Word Files. Unfortunately we don’t have only True Type Fonts.
We read your article about this theme.

http://www.aspose.com/docs/display/wordsnet/How+Aspose.Words+Uses+True+Type+Fonts

When you plan to support other Font Types, e.g. Open Font Types ?

/* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-priority:99; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0cm; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";}

<![endif]–>Kind regards,
Guido

Hi Guido,

Thanks for your inquiry. Aspose.Words supports both True Type and Open Type fonts during rendering Word documents to fixed page format e.g. PDF. In case Aspose.Words doesn't find a Font, it performs a Font substitution and generates a font substitution warning which you can use to overcome the potential fidelity loss. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

Best regards,
