We are currently evaluating content publishing workflows and in particular PDF and Word document importing into the WordPress editor.
We need a solution that will convert both the text and images from a PDF or DOC and insert them into the content editor of a WordPress post or page.
We are not seeking to embed the .pdf or .doc directly into the page. But rather create a HTML page from this content.
Images would need to be converted to .jpg or .png file formats.
Do you have a solution for this? Do you have a demo facility?

Yes, Aspose.Words and Aspose.Pdf support this feature. We have developed a plugin using Aspose.Words and Aspose.Pdf to allow you to import Word and PDF documents to the content editor of a WordPress post or page. Please check the following links for more details.
The only restriction at the moment is, you will not be able to import images from a PDF (only text is supported in case of PDF files). Aspose.PDF API supports both text and images and next version of the plugin will import both text and images for PDF files also. Our team is working on improving the plugin to support this feature and it will be available soon.
