Hi,
We are currently using Aspose .Cells for Excel exports of our online reports. We have pre-formatted templates saved on the server folder and when the online report is exported from the application, that pre-formatted template is used for the excel report.
Now, if the pre-formatted template on the server has the “Read-Only” option checked in the properties of the file, the application is unable to access it and error’s out. Is there a way the application can still access the pre-formatted template even with the “Read-Only” option checked?

Hi,
I am not very sure about your issue. Aspose.Cells can access/open an excel file marked as "Read- only" and we have tested it for our confirmation. Are you using an Asp.NET application? Could you explain your issue in details. We appreciate if you could create a sample test project and post us here to reproduce the issue, we will check it soon.
Also, tell us which version of Aspose.Cells you are using?
