Hello Support Team,

with all the discussions we have lost a lot of time.
Will we get a new Software with a fix of the Problem after we have closed the Enterprise Support Contract or will you never create such a fix.

Please give us a quick and short answer (yes we will fix the Problem or no we won’t).

We need this Information very soon in order to make a plan for the customer.

Best Regards,
André

Hi Andre,

Thanks for your patience.

The product team has analyzed the problem and during our testing, we were able to print into postscript 1 using virtual printers (%%LanguageLevel: 1). Please take a look over attached resultant files:

  • SimpleTextStamp_exampleCodeFromAspose_hpDC_postscript1.ps
  • SimpleTextStamp_exampleCodeFromAspose_xeroxDC_postscript1.ps

But I am afraid we do not have such an printer for testing. Can you please provide us the document which is not causing printing problems after merging.

Furthermore, we also tested stamping of the document with an alternative software and printing also worked with Adobe reader. Besides this, please help us to find the virtual printer that can enable us to reproduce the error in our environment.

PS, every issue is equal important and we try our level best to fix them as quickly as possible but as a normal rule of practice, the issues are resolved in first come first serve basis as we believe its the fairest policy to all the customers.

Dear Nayyer,

testing the ps files that you´ve added in the previous post makes no difference. Printing is also not possible with these files. We have used “Postscript Viewer version 1.2” to open and print the .ps files.

We´ve made some more tests. Mabye you could analyze the problem with these results:
(You wil find the documents/result in zip attachment)

1. Test with an alternative stamp tool (printing works):

  • ORGINAL.doc converted into a pdf with the tool PdfCreator --> result file is WORKS_With_pdfcreator_created.pdf (Printing is possible with Adobe Reader 11.0.16.13)
  • WORKS_With_pdfcreator_created.pdf alternative stamp software used --> result file is WORKS_With_pdfcreator_created_and_AlternativeStampSoftware.pdf (Printing is possible with Adobe Reader 11.0.16.13)

2. Test with aspose (printing doesn´t work):
  • ORGINAL.doc converted into pdf with a stamp by aspose --> SimpleTextStamp_exampleCodeFromAspose.pdf (printing with Adobe Reader 11.0.16.13 doesn´t work)
  • ORGINAL.doc converted into pdf with a stamp by aspose -->
SimpleTextStamp_exampleCodeFromAspose.pdf (printing with Foxit Reader works)

What did you mean with “to find the virtual printer” ? What is a virtual printer ?

Best Regards
Matthias
