Project is opening .mpx file twice

After I call the write method of the MPXFile object, the dialog box appears asking if I want to save or open the file. If I click Open, Project opens the file twice (the second time it opens, the filename is appended with an [1]. If I click Save, and then open it from windows explorer, the same thing happens. Is this a setting in Project or a property I can change in the component?

Dear Jersh,

It’s not a problem of Aspose.Project. It’s a wrong file assotiations in the Windows.

I solved the same problem for me by unchecking “Use DDE” in
“Control Panel/Folder Options/File Types/MPX File/Advanced/&Open/Edit”

Thanks a lot! That did the trick. It looks like I’ll have to come up with an automated way for users to change that setting to make it easy on them.
