Proper Results for Doc2HTML and Doc2WML

Hello,

i have a question to the conversion of doc files.

When i convert a existing DOC-File (Word 2003) to WordML or HTML with Aspose Words. Is the result the same as if i would use the Microsoft Word Application (Word.Application COM)? Can i be sure that the result of the WordML is a proper file?

Currently we convert the doc-files on a webserver to xml with installed Microsoft Office on the server. But this isn’t very stable. We are now working for some time with the resulting XML- and HTML-Files which will then get transformed furthermore with XSLT. The concern is if we will have to rewrite our XSLT-Files a lot if we move to Aspose Words.

Thanks for your answers.

Greetings
Klaus

Hi

Thanks for your request. Aspose.Words produces proper WML and HTML files. So you can be that the produced files are valid WML and HTML files.
But you should note that HTML and WML formats are not strict formats, i. e. the same thing can be done the different ways. So internally documents produced by Aspose.Words and MS Word can be different, but anyways visually the documents will look the same.
Please let me know if you need more assistance, I will be glad to help you.
Best regards.
