Protected document edit areas

Hello,

We are using the trial version to test if we can do everything we need in our client, in order to decide if we will purchase this product or not.

I attached one example of a document we need to process. This is a document that is password protected for edit, but has some exceptions configured, where everyone can write text.

Doing the simplest test of opening and saving the document, the resulting document is still password protected for edit, but the exceptions configured were lost.

Is there any support for this type of exceptions? Unfortunately we really need this because we cannot change the documents that already exist in the client’s system.

Best regards
João Brito

Hi

Thanks for your inquiry. Unfortunately, Aspose.Words does not support editable regions yet. I linked your request to the appropriate issue. You will be notified as soon as this feature is supported.

In your case, as workaround, you can try using Form Fields

http://www.aspose.com/documentation/file-format-components/aspose.words-for-.net-and-java/working-with-form-fields.html

Best regards,

The issues you have found earlier (filed as WORDSNET-1067) have been fixed in this .NET update and this Java update.
