Questions on 3.x / 4.x upgrades

Hi,

We are currently running Aspose Words for Java 2.4.2, and are considering upgrading.

A few questions for you:

1. The major issues we're currently having with 2.4.2 are that it does not support .docx files, or any document saved on an apple machine. Will release 3 or 4 resolve this?

2. Do you have any idea how close the Aspose Words for Java version 4 is to a stable release? We have very limited technical resources, and would hate to put the effort into upgrading to version 3, only to have to upgrade to version 4 in a few months.

Thanks!

Hello<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Thanks for your request. Yes, of course, Aspose.Words for Java already supports DOCX format. Please see the following link for more information:

http://www.aspose.com/documentation/java-components/aspose.words-for-java/file-formats-and-conversions-1.html

In 4.0.0 version we added converting to PDF feature. This feature is still in beta, that is why 4.0.2 version has “beta” prefix.

I will notify you as soon as converting to PDF in Aspose.Words for Java is out of beta. It will be somewhere in this month.

Also please have a look at this:
