Read write BIFF7 and below MS Excel file formats

Is Aspose planning on supporting versions of excel 95 and under? We are very interested in this product, but need this support.

Thanks,

Gunjan

Hi,

Well, I am afraid, we have no plan to support it.
Aspose.Cells only supports BIFF8 and greater file formats (Excel97 -
Excel 2010)

We are Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

As a workaround, I think you may open your Excel 95 or earlier spreadsheets in MS Excel (e.g 2003) manually and save it or save it as “Microsoft Office Excel Workbook”. Now Aspose.Cells would open/load the file using its API.

Thank you.

@djgonzo81,

We recommend you to kindly try upgrading to and use latest version of the product which includes support for older BIFF7 (Excel 95/5.0 - 2003 Workbook) formats with enhancements now:

Also, see the document for supported input and output file formats by Aspose.Cells:
