Reading and writing Excel

Hi Everyone,

We are planning to purchase Aspose.Cell for Java application.We will need to read and write data into excel.

Does it require MS office to be installed in Server PC ?Can Aspose.Cell API can work with out MS office software installed?Please confirm.

Please note, Aspose.Cells is an independent component created in pure Java or managed C#. Aspose.Cells does not need MS Office/Excel to be installed either on the server or on the client side, neither it uses any MS Office or automation or relevant APIs.

However, if you need to view the generated Excel file by Aspose.Cells, you may use MS Excel or any other spreadsheet viewer application.
