Search results do not lead you to a topic in API documentation

if I search for something like InsertHyperlink (or other terms) in the site search, I get a few results. If I click on one to go to the API documentation, it does not work.

For example, I searched for InsertHyperlink. I clicked on the 'Inserting a Hyperlink' link, which then takes me here http://www.aspose.com/documentation/.net-components/aspose.words-for-.net/inserting-a-hyperlink.html . This link just takes me to the top of the documentation, and not to the page I was looking.

I then have to go through the tree to get to http://www.aspose.com/documentation/.net-components/aspose.words-for-.net/aspose.words.documentbuilder.inserthyperlink.html .

Is there a better way to search for items in the API?

Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for your inquiry.

Yes I think that link should not be there, its broken because its an outdated link (from mid 2009) which points to a page that has been removed since then. If you click on the link below it or the first link on the next page it will take you to the appropriate member in the API.

I will inform the web team about these dead links so they can be removed from the search results.

If you are looking to search quickly through the API I suggest using the offline CHM file found here. You can use it to easily search through the documentation. You can also do the same thing on the site by using the Advanced options button and unchecking all buttons apart from the Aspose.Words API.

If you have any further queries, please feel free to ask.

Thanks,
