I am generating a word document by importing sections from other word documents that are held in a central repository. There is also user generated content.
The user checks out a document and sections are inserted into the document.
The user then checks their changes back into the repository.
It is at the point that I want to remove the imported nodes and I am struggling. There is nothing in the content of the sections that identifies them as generated content.
I am looking for some way to add metadata to these sections that will allow me to identify which sections to remove.
My first thoughts were bookmarks but these can easily be removed.
Is there any way to add invisible unremovable metadata to sections of a word document?
Hi<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Thanks for your request. I think using bookmarks is the best way to achieve what you need. You can also use some kind of fields but they could be easily removed too. Unfortunately there is no way to add some irremovable data to Word document Section.
