Hi, we are converting an application to a version that uses Aspose reporting, so there are loads of template files that need a new Data Source (which supports regions). I would like to write a little app that opens each template and assigns the new Mail Merge Data Source, but I can’t find where such a MailMergeDataSource property is defined/documented. Is that on the Document object?
Thanks.
Hi
Thanks for your request. There is no property like MailMergeDataSource in the document model. There are methods MailMerge.Execute and MailMerge.ExecuteWithRegions. So you can execute mail merge using your data source. See the following link for more information.

Best regards.
Thanks for your response. (I am familiar with the Merge methods, which are very useful!) Our app depends, however, on power users setting up the templates with the right fields by opening them with Word on their workstations. We create a one-datarow mail merge data source file for them to have an example that can be displayed as they maintain the templates. It’s unfortunate that the Aspose interface cannot help us automate this repetitive task. Is there any chance that such a property could be exposed to help in such situations? Or perhaps you can recommend a better way to address this need? Thanks.
Hi
Thanks for your request. I created new issue #5170 in our defect database. We will try to implement this feature in one of future releases. I will notify you as soon as it is done.
Best regards.
The issues you have found earlier (filed as 5170) have been fixed in this update.
