Signature Line Support

Hi Team,
I see that you are now supporting the signature line object. Could you please provide me with additional detail on how I would access this object from the model.
Thanks,
Ernest

Hi Ernest,

Thanks for your inquiry.

Yes, signature line object is now supported in the model and is preserved during converting to flow formats such as RTF, WML etc. You can access a collection of digital signatures attached to a document by using the Document.DigitalSignatures property. Moreover, I would suggest you read the following API link as well:

https://reference.aspose.com/words/net/aspose.words.digitalsignatures/digitalsignaturecollection/

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

Best Regards,

Hi,
Thanks, I was hoping though that I could find these objects via doing a search for a specific ShapeType, or NodeType. Is this possible ?
Thanks,
Ernest

Hi Team,
Any feedback ?
Thanks

Hi Ernest,

Thanks for your inquiry.

A signature line is loaded into the Aspose.Words as a Shape node, but you are right, at the moment there is no solid way to detect if a certain shape is a signature line or not. I have linked your request to the appropriate issue, we will inform you as soon as there are any developments.

In the mean time you can work around this by using the Alternative Text property of the signature line as this is loaded properly. You can use the Shape.AlternativeText property to scan and detect if a shape is a signature line. A useful bit of info is that Microsoft Word adds the alternative text “Microsoft Office Signature Line” automatically to new signature objects.

Thanks,

Hey,

are there any news regarding this feature? We need to exactly determine these signature lines.

Regards

Mark

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your inquiry. This problem actually requires us to implement a new feature in Aspose.Words. I regret to share with you that this problem has been postponed till a later date. However, the fix of this problem may definitely come onto the product roadmap in the future. We will inform you via this forum thread as soon as this feature is supported. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Best regards,

The issues you have found earlier (filed as WORDSNET-6286) have been fixed in this .NET update and this Java update.
