Simple open/save question

I’m thinking of purchasing your product. We’ve got a web app where users upload a .doc, .txt, or .wps (word perfect) file. I just need to be able to save any of these as a Word 2003 file and give it my own new filename. Is this possible with your tool? Also, I need to be able to count the number of words in the uploaded file. Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris,

Thank you for your interest in Aspose products.

Aspose.Word can open Word files and save them as Word or txt files. We have no plans to support Word Perfect, but we plan to support other formats such as RTF, HTML, PDF etc.

There is no built-in function to count number of words, but you can simply workaround this by saving a document as text to a string and counting number of words there.
