Some Objects not rendering properly

Hi,

Some of the objects in our doc files are not rendering properly in the resulting PDF. These appear to be equation objects and convert into incorrect characters.

I’ve attached a source and results document.

We are running Aspose.Words for .NET version 9.8.0

Thanks,

Hello

Thanks for your request. Unfortunately, currently, Aspose.Words does not support EQ fields during rendering. Your request has been linked to the appropriate issue. You will be notified as soon as it is supported.

Best regards,

Do you have any information on when support for EQ fields may be planned? If support is not planned soon, do you have a suggested workaround? Ideally, some other Word feature that Aspose.Words does support that we can direct our users to use instead. Whether or not a suitable alternative exists, can we use Aspose.Words to detect the use of EQ fields in a document so that we can send an appropriate message to our users?

Thanks,

Hi there,

Thanks for your inquiry.

I'm afraid the developers have yet to look into this issue. As soon as they do we will provide you with some further feedback.

In the mean time you could still render these fields if you are able to convince your customers to convert the EQ fields to images inside MS Word first. To do this you can copy the field, click "Paste Special" and then choose Enhanced MetaFile to convert the field into an image.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

Thanks,

The issues you have found earlier (filed as WORDSNET-1673) have been fixed in this .NET update and this Java update.
