Special Characters Doc to PDF Conversion

When using the micro-symbol (µ) in a Word document and trying to convert to a PDF. The document returns only an empty box. Is there any workaround to this or help? How can i assure that all special characters are converted properly from word to PDF?

@jproy

Please note that Aspose.Words requires TrueType fonts when rendering document to fixed-page formats (JPEG, PNG, PDF or XPS). You need to install fonts that are used in your document on the machine where you are converting documents to PDF. Please refer to the following articles:

Hi Tahir. Thanks for the information. What do you mean by “installing the fonts on the machine”? It’s a special character from a normal word document with a normal doc font. If it would help, i could attach the files.

@jproy

Please check the font name used for micro-symbol (µ) in your document. It should be installed on your machine where you are doing document conversion. If you still face problem, please ZIP and attach the document along with font here for testing. We will investigate the issue and provide you more information on it.
