Split files are duplicates of the original file

Hi,
We have a paid account under jason.reed@verifiedlearning.org
We are a day away from going live with our project, and have noticed that splitted files are identical in size to the original file.
We do our splitting through the API.

Our product has a mobile version which requires to download and cache these splitted PDFs for offline viewing.
As you can imagine, it becomes quite in-efficient to get identical file, for example 5 times if there are 5 pages.

We did a Hex diff on the files and, they are identical except the header. I have attached the files.

Is there any way you can have a look at, and resolve this as soon as possible, as this seems to be the only thing that’s holding us up from going live.

The attached files are just an example, some PDFs are 10 pages long and are 10MB in size… and when downloaded takes up 100MB.
We didn’t realise you were tricking the file splitting mechanism into thinking it has only one page until now, and it has become a major show stopper for us.

Thanks in advance

Hi Khaled,

Sorry for the inconvenience. This is not the case with all the files and I have not noticed such issue with my own samples. An output PDF size issue is already resolved and will be live in next 2-3 weeks but it will be good to test your PDFs with that fix. Can you please share a couple of your original PDFs you are facing issue with? We will try to provide a fix as soon as possible.

Hi,
We start off with converting powerpoint documents to PDF via the Saaspose API, then we split the resulting PDF. again via the Saaspose API.
Please find attached a powerpoint file that exhibits this behaviour

Guys any update on this?

We are live now and this has impact on our hosting costs as the files are far bigger than they need to be.

Please let me know
