Strange PPT slide behaviour after saving from 2007

Hi,

We're seeing strange behviour in some slide objects after passing them through Aspose slides. It happens when slides originate as PPTX in 2007 and have been saved as 2003 PPT files. The symptoms occur when object grouping is involved, either of shapes or text obects and usually involves the objects being shifted in relation to each other or, in one case stretched vertically.

Please take a look at the following attached examples:-

1) The original PPTX file

2) After saving as a 2003 PPT file from 2007

3) PPT after passing through Aspose slides

Each slide is anotated with a description of what happens.

Please can you fix this strange behaviour since many customers now use 2007.

Thanks.

Hello,

Thank you for the examples.

There is own coordinate space used in the group shapes.
Similar problem already reported in Aspose.Slides for Java.
We will try to implement it asap. Fix should be available on this week.

Hi Alexey,

Good news last week about the fixed group shapes. Any chance you could implement this fix today - we're all under pressure to get them working straight away. Thanks.

Hello,

Please check attached hot fix.

There is fixed normalization of size of shapes inside group in case they use own coordinate space. Slide 1 and 2.

Also shapes with empty TextFrame won’t be resized on presentation opening. Slide 3.

Slide 4 (bullets) is not fixed. Text offset is 0 and PowerPoint 2003 also show it without offset.

Most probably PP2007 stores additional xml (pptx) information somewhere or simply couldn’t export correct ppt file.

Hi Alexey,

Thank you for the hot fix - this works a treat.

Well done and thanks for your quick response.
