Support for OpenOffice formats (ODS)

We are users of Aspose Total for Java and we are very satisifed with it.

We would like to expand support for the available file formats beyond MS Office to OpenOffice formats. we are especially interested in Writer(odt) Impress (odp) and Calc (ods).

Can you share with us the plans you have for supporting those file formats, under Java? I have noticed plans for ods in your website.

In case you need early adaptors for your software we would be glad to help

Thanks,

Shay

Hi Shay,

Thanks for your interest and considering Aspose.

We will share our detailed plans regarding ODS support for Aspose.Cells for Java in the next week.

Thank you.

Amjad,

Do you have update on the availablity of ODS files?

Thanks,

Shay

Hi Shay,

We will release a new version which support ODS in about one month. In this first release, following features will be supported:

  • data
  • formulae
  • formatting
  • named range

And we will keep on updating our products and add more features in the future releases.

Thanks for the prompt response,

Just making sure that your timeline refer to the Java release of Aspose Cells

Thanks,

Shay

Yes. I am talking about the Java product.

What about the .NET product?

Hi,

Yes, we are working on the feature (ODS support for Aspose.Cells for .NET) and hopefully we can release a trial version in the next month which will support read/write data and styles for an ODS (Open Document Spreadsheet) file.

Thank you.

Do you know the estimated date this trial will be release?

thank you.

Fernando
