Support of Digital Signatures

Hello everyone,

I have the requirement, in a document management solution (many doc types), to digitally sign documents before attaching them to an email and send it.
Documents may/may not be converted to PDF before attaching.
We currently own Words/Cells/Slides/Pdf .NET product licenses and I would like to know which of the document types (.doc/.xls/.ppt/.pdf/etc…) supported by those products could be digitally signed, and which couldn’t.

Also, we would like to avoid to store pfx files and related passwords in code / file system (which is a security issue), and use X509 certtificates issued directly from windows store. Is that possible?

Cheers

Hi Claudio,

Aspose.Words, Aspose.Cells and Aspose.Pdf support digital signatures however this feature is not supported by Aspose.Slides at the moment and a request to support this feature has been logged into our issue tracking system as SLIDESJAVA-33889. We will keep you updated on this issue in this thread.

As far as loading certificate and password from Windows Store is concerned, it is not supported however you can try at your end if it works for you.

Best Regards,

Hi Claudio,

The above stated feature requested to Sign PDF using the X509 Certificates instead PFX file is already logged in our issue tracking system as PDFNEWNET-37412 under New Features list. .
We will further look into the details of this requirement and will keep you updated on the
status of a correction.

We apologize for your inconvenience.

Hi,
