I have some questions about Java aspose.word

I tried to build a document from some predefined language snippets stored in a document using

targetDoc.importNode(paragraphs.get(i), true, ImportFormatMode.KEEP_SOURCE_FORMATTING);

1. The numbered bullets, say, 1,2,3.., in the source document became all 1's. What formating contants control the bullets or something else needs to be done?

2. The import didn't work for a table. Is there something else needed for importing a table?

Thanks,

Sean

Hi

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Thanks for your inquiry.

1. In order to preserve numbering, you should use NodeImporter class instead of using Document.ImportNode method. Please see the following link for more information:

http://www.aspose.com/documentation/.net-components/aspose.words-for-.net-and-java/com/aspose/words/nodeimporter.html

2. This method should work for any node of a document, including tables. So could you please provide simple code, which will allow me to reproduce the problem? I will check the issue and provide you more information.

Also, I think the code provided in the following article could be useful for you:

http://www.aspose.com/documentation/.net-components/aspose.words-for-.net-and-java/howto-insert-a-document-into-another-document.html

Best regards.
