Retain Table Header Position & Page Layout during Word DOCX to PDF Conversion using C# .NET

@awais.hafeez - We have found one more issue on the table layout. I have attached the original document and the Printed document. Kindly check Page 5 of the printed document (pdf), it is showing the table header at bottom which is supposed to be on Page 6 of original document.

SampleDocs.zip (115.3 KB)

Could you please have a look at this once?

@biocon,

After an initial test, we have also observed that the latest (20.6) version of Aspose.Words also pushes the table header at the end of previous page in PDF. We have logged this issue with ID WORDSNET-20563.

But please tell, what version of MS Word are you using on your end? Please also convert (Save As) this “Actual Document.docx” to PDF format by using MS Word on your end and attach the MS Word generated PDF file here for further testing.

Hi @awais.hafeez,

We are using MS Word 2016 version. But we have observed this in MS Word version 2013 too. Attached is the “Save as PDF” using the MS word version 2016.

@biocon,

We have logged these details in our issue tracking system and will keep you posted here on any further updates.

@awais.hafeez - Could you please update if there is any progress on resolution of this issue?

@biocon,

Regarding WORDSNET-20563, we have completed the work on this issue and concluded to close this issue with “Not a Bug” status. Please see the following analysis details:

We have converted your “Actual Document.docx” Word document to PDF format by using MS Word 2019 and Aspose.Words for .NET 20.7 API on our end and attached the generated PDF files here for your reference:

You can observe that both Aspose.Words and MS Word 2019 produce similar outputs and please note that Aspose.Words currently tries to mimic the behavior of MS Word 2019.

Please understand that Aspose.Words cannot mimic behaviors of multiple MS Word versions at once. We strive to achieve fidelity with the latest version of MS Word since number of users continuously gradually expanding towards the latest versions of MS Word.
